Emsisoft rolled out a fresh update for Emergency Kit, their free (for private use) and completely portable dual-engine scanner.

The new build, a minor one, is 3.0.0.6 and integrates modifications designed to improve not only the stability of the suite but also its performance.

The developer announced that the signature database has been consolidated and cleaned up in order to deliver faster loading times and to decrease system memory usage.

Also enhanced is malware detection through Bitdefender’s engine as the filters for false positives have been adjusted.

Along with the aforementioned changes, the developer informs that additional minor bug fixes and improvements have also been made.

Because it is portable, Emsisoft Emergency Kit can be deployed from a removable storage device on any computer in order to detect and remove malware.
