Emsisoft rolled out today version 6.0 for Online Armor firewall. Major changes relate to performance and compatibility, but the developer also improved the stability of the application by operating hundreds of minor tweaks.
Online Armor 6.0 boasts full support for Windows 8 and a lighter installation process that cut out the safety check wizard, replacing it with a real-time verification. This automatically leads to faster installation.
Another important modification is reducing the number of unnecessary alerts that popped up when third-party software got updated.
As far as compatibility is concerned, besides adding support for Windows 8, the new Online Armor should work better with Google Chrome and Sandboxie applications.
The new release is available for the paying customers at no charge, via online update mechanism, just like in the case of any other revision.
