As I’ve told you several times during the past few days, Microsoft issued a buggy update on Patch Tuesday that breaks down video rendering on Windows XP and Windows 7 machines.

Microsoft’s MS13-057 security update on Windows 7 (KB 2803821) and Windows XP (KB 2834904) breaks down not only Adobe Premiere Pro, but also Steam games and other Windows applications, according to reports.

This time, security expert Graham Cluley points to an advisory posted by TechSmith, the company behind Camtasia Studio, which also warns about the bug.

What’s more, Adobe has posted a support knowledgebase article to explain that the cause of the issue is Microsoft’s botched patch delivered last week.

“These two Windows updates cause the issue. Adobe recommends rolling the system back to remove the updates listed above,” Adobe said.

Microsoft is yet to publicly acknowledge the issue, but more information should be provided anytime soon.
