Note Encryption now relies on AES-128 standard algorithm

The latest build for the EverNote note-taking and archiving application features a few improvements, one of them touching on security of the contents.

In revision 5.1.1.2334, the note encryption algorithm employed is the AES-128 standard, widely used for synchronizing or transferring information across the web.

The developer also informs that the recognition and formatting of scanned business cards into the Contact Notes section is now supported and that the navigation bar for Announcements should work better.

Among the glitches addressed in the current release there is the one that caused a synchronization error when a note would be moved from one joined notebook to another.

Also fixed is the glitch that prevented highlighting a searched item. In some cases, encrypted text could not be read in read-only notebooks; this issue should no longer occur in EverNote 5.1.1.2334.
