The Metro version of Evernote has received a major pack of improvements today, so Windows 8 users should now launch the Store and check out the updates section to get the update.

The new version comes with a hub page that provides an overview of your account, while the revamped activity feed notifies about updates in the shared notebooks.

In addition, the shortcut support provides quick access to important notes, notebooks, and tags, while the note editing feature comprises two new options called “Make Plaintext” and “Simplified.” Two-step verification is also offered to make sure that unauthorized access is blocked.

Several other bug fixes and performance improvements are also part of the release, with the update aimed at Windows 8 and Windows RT versions of the app.
