Explorer8 continues to be one of the top file managers in the store, especially on Windows RT and RT 8.1 tablets, so updates are pretty important for users worldwide.

A new version released today comes to address some annoyances found in the app, while also adding a few more options to improve the overall experience in the Modern UI.

According to the official release notes, the new build now remembers the latest chosen place for Picker contracts, while the tab bar is now sticky and users are provided with an “Open with” option in the app bar.

At the same time, the share target UI is set to the horizontal view with small thumbnails in order to create more space on the screen, while many of the bugs should no longer be there.

The app is not available for free, but a trial version lets you give it a try free of charge, so download Explorer8 for Windows 8.1 right now to see what it brings new.
