Most of the multimedia content you see on TV or over the web is heavily processed on a computer. Audio and video layers need to be used and perfectly synchronized for a proper product.

Making up a video requires several types of resources, one of which is the audio layer. Searching for the right sound effects can take some time, but there’s a high chance to find them in videos. However, you need special tools to grab it, and here are a couple of utilities that can come in handy.

Using Media Buddy

Step 1: Download, install, and run Media Buddy.

Step 2: Drag the video over the main window or press Add file to browse.

Step 3: Click the Output format button at the top, and under Popular Audio, pick the preferred format.

Step 4: Drag the upper right slider to adjust Quality, and set an output directory.

Step 5: Press Start to initiate the process. It only takes a little while to finish.

Step 3: Select a video file from the list. Use the bottom sliders to set the audio part you want to extract. Use the playback controls for preview.

Step 4: Select the desired output format from the drop-down menu next to playback buttons.

Step 5 (optional): Click on Parameters to configure audio quality.

The two applications don't even scratch the surface of multimedia editing. More similar and advanced alternatives can be found digging through other audio or video tools.
