The number of apps available in the Windows Store is a clear indication that the Windows 8 platform is becoming more appealing for developers and software companies across the world.

Now Falcom has confirmed that four YS games will be launched for Windows 8 on March 22, according to a report by Siliconera.

Ys Origin, Ys I&II Chronicle, Ys: The Oath in Felghana, and Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim will all land on Windows 8 in about two months. The games won’t be available with a freeware license, but each will cost $44 (€32).

Even if some of these games are already available on Steam in North America, others are also sold in traditional stores in Japan, so Windows 8 would be quite an opportunity for the company to increase its sales via online platforms.
