Automatic updates used to push the latest revision to old beta testers

The fourth beta for Firefox 11 is planned for release tomorrow, but the build is readily available for download at the moment. Mozilla plans to push to the old beta testers the latest beta revision of their web browser through the automatic updates system, which is normally used for minor updates, on Friday.

As a result of choosing this form to bring beta testers up to date, incompatible add-ons are not reported beforehand and all required files are automatically downloaded.

The date for code freezing Firefox 11 has also been set by Mozilla, on March 2. The next steps in the evolution of the software are pretty predictable, with a release candidate following a few days after the code freeze and concluding the code for this version being the last step before moving it to stable.
