Unofficial release, search in page option is now tab independent

Mozilla just uploaded to their servers the beta for Firefox 25. This is an unofficial release at the moment, so there is no list of changes from the developer. It is available for all supported desktop platforms (Windows, Mac and Linux).

However, despite an official list of changes, we noticed that one feature announced in Aurora (the pre-beta build) made it into the beta release. In Firefox 25, the find bar for searching inside a page is no longer shared between tabs.

This means that "find in page" now works separately for each tab, allowing the search of different queries on multiple pages.

The bar has gone through some tweaking, too; “highlight all” and “match case” options are no longer located next to the search field but have been moved at the end. Also, “next” and “previous” buttons have been stripped of the text and are represented only by arrows.

In Aurora, the developer announces that the glitch with blank or missing page thumbnails on the new tab page has been fixed, but we experienced the issue in the fresh Firefox 25 beta build.

The official list with the changes available in Firefox 25 should be released by Mozilla later today.
