Mozilla rolled out the first beta of Firefox 29 on all supported platforms

Mozilla yesterday introduced the new Firefox 28 for all platforms, so the company can now start work on a new beta build of the browser that’s scheduled to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Firefox 29 beta 1 was developed to allow users to have an early glimpse into the feature lineup of the next stable build of the browser, so it does bring a few improvements to the existing versions.

On the other hand, given the fact that it’s still in the beta development stage, Firefox 29 Beta 1 could be unstable at random times, which means that a number of bugs and performance issues could still be experienced. As a result, beginners are highly recommended to stick to the stable build launched yesterday.

At this point, there are no release notes available for this beta build of Firefox, so it’s hard to tell what it brings new to the market.

The beta version will, however, be pushed to the release channel on April 29, 2014 but, until then, expect several other testing builds to be released for download, especially because the developing team will try to address bugs and performance issues.
