VLC developers have just published a new set of screenshots showing the upcoming Windows RT flavor of their multimedia player, a new version that should be released in the next few months.
While the team behind this project only said that the app is showing a “tremendous progress,” no information on the release date has been provided.
“The biggest result is that we have now cut down 90% of our symbols that are forbidden on Metro Mode,” the team said in a post on Kickstarter.
Just as expected, VLC for Windows 8/RT will rely on a pretty eye-candy interface, obviously completely optimized for the touch and supposed to help Windows tablet owners play their multimedia files with just a few taps.
