The latest beta release for Adobe Flash Player, 11.7.700.146, comes with a new patch update mechanism for ActiveX (Internet Explorer) and NPAPI plug-in versions, designed to reduce the download size of an update by as much as 75%.

All systems running version 11.7.700.141 of Flash Player, with automatic update installation feature enabled, will receive an update patch instead of the full Flash install.

Before integrating it, the patch will be checked for authenticity and integrity, just like in the case of the regular background update mechanism.

Other modifications in the fresh beta build include repairs touching on incorrect video rendering on some websites (Windows 8 classic and modern UI, on ARM) and a DRM error popping up erroneously when playing encrypted content.
