FlashGot has moved the needle as far as the version number is concerned. The new release, 1.4.8.4, is just a minor build, which sports only repairs for some small but nagging issues.

As such, the developer repaired the problem with the icon flashing multiple times on chunked content despite the fact that the user sees only one media URL. Also media-related is the fix for reducing noise by disregarding unsupported MP2TS video format, which might also be encrypted.

Further repairing refers to restoring the built-in download manager compatibility with nightly builds of Firefox web browser, by adding support for private mode.

A less significant modification refers to the “About” dialog screen. Starting this revision accessing any link from that area will close it automatically. Some spelling mistakes have also been corrected.
