Even though Windows 8 comes with a built-in PDF reader, some users are still looking for third-party apps that would allow them to view and manage PDF files in the Metro UI.

Foxit PDF is one of the apps that got ported to Windows 8, thus providing users with a second option when it comes to powerful PDF readers.

There are only a few basic options to load PDF documents, but it’s still a good app that works on both Windows 8 and Windows RT and comes with a freeware license.

“Foxit Mobile PDF Reader allows you to open, view any PDF file, as well as easy to use collaboration features, such as the ability to add annotations to PDF,” the official description of the app reads.
