After managing to fix a critical security hole that could allow hackers to break into Skype accounts using only the victim’s email address, the Skype team is rolling out a special offer for all those who’re (still) using the VoIP app.

In just a few words, Skype is offering free worldwide calls for a month, but there are several things you should take into consideration before anything else.

You’re only allowed to call to mobiles in seven countries, including the United States, Canada and Hong Kong, but also to place unlimited calls to landlines in over 40 countries.

The one month of free unlimited calls is worth $13.99 (€10.99), Microsoft claims. The trial must be redeemed by midnight and is available only to existing Skype users who have been registered with Skype more than 29 days.
