Chances are you never heard of an app called Tango. That’s okay, I never knew about it until today, when it was released for PC. It is already famous among iOS and Android users as it offers free video calling.

In order to reach a wider audience, the company released the PC version of their application. It runs on XP, Vista and Windows 7, both on 32 and 64-bit platforms. The requirements are pretty standard: webcam, speakers and mic, broadband Internet connection, attached to a 1.8Ghz Core 2 Duo system.

The PC program syncs the contacts with the mobile version on your phone as soon as you log in with your phone and an email address. It’ll find all your contacts who have Tango installed and whom you can start video calls with.

From what we’ve seen, Tango is an easy and comfortable alternative to other video calling solutions for PC.
