Fruit Ninja is currently the number one paid application available in the Windows Store, most likely thanks to the offered discount that cuts the price from $4.99 (€3.89) to only $1.99 (€1.55).

While the iPad version of the game is priced at $2.99 (€2.35), Fruit Ninja is enjoying a terrific success on Windows 8, especially thanks to Microsoft’s efforts to bring more touchscreen devices to the market.

Disney Fairies Hidden Treasures has managed to reach the second place in the top, even though it costs $4.99 (€3.89), while Angry Birds Star Wars has dropped to the third place.

As you can see, games are currently dominating the top paid software section in the Windows Store, and it’s no surprise, given the fact that they all bring full touch support and ARM compatibility to work with Windows RT devices such as the Surface RT.
