The beta channel for Google Chrome has been updated, incrementing the build number of the browser to 26.0.1410.40. The fresh release is currently available for all supported platforms (WindowsMacLinux and Chrome Frame).

The most notable modifications present in this revision are repairs designed to increase stability, usability and functionality of the browser.

Users should no longer face the “Sign-in” dialog when launching a new Incognito window from the Launcher bar using the right-click menu; instead, this action should behave exactly as in the case of launching the private session from the settings menu or using the keyboard shortcut (Crl+Shift+N).

Another bug eliminated in this build caused improper input focus in the extension pop-ups. Basically, using Tab key to move from one field to another in a dialog generated by an extension would not work.

Also repaired is the problem with a double-click event in the Omnibox that would not mark the entire string when "Enable Views Textfield" flag is turned on.

The developer removed the bug that caused multiple tabs to be opened when launching an address from the “Recently Closed” menu with Ctrl+Click.
