The stable version of Google Chrome has been incremented to 17.0.963.65, which is available for all supported platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome Frame). Besides security fixes, the new revision also encompasses repairs touching on performance.

Among the most notable bugs eliminated in this revision, there is the one affecting the cursors and the backgrounds, which would not load in some cases. This problem was Mac-related, as no incidents were recorded on Windows or Linux.

On the other hand, Windows users would sometimes experience trouble with plugins which would not load on some pages, receiving the “missing plugin” message instead.

Furthermore, the development team managed to eliminate the issue with trailing spaces available when pasting text. This problem would run deeper, as pasted text would not be aligned correctly in the input field.
