Mountain View-based tech giant Google rolled out a new batch of improvements for its very own Windows 8 Search app, introducing not only bug fixes, but also several important new features.

The new version of Google Search for Windows 8 comes with support for printing, but also with the ability to launch all results in the default browser, most likely Internet Explorer, as only a few other Metro browsers are available for the time being.

The release notes also point to some speed improvements and bug fixes, so Google Search should now load a bit faster and be more responsive regardless of whether you’re using it on a desktop computer or on a Windows RT tablet.

Google said in a statement a few months ago that it didn’t plan to develop any other Windows 8 apps, so the Search tool is one of the few Metro apps released by Google on Microsoft’s new operating system.
