Google rolled out the beta version of Web Designer, a new application that aims at providing a simple to use environment for creating web content.

At the moment, it is designed to be used for creating mainly advertisements and it combines both visual elements and access to the code (editable) behind them for a more integrated experience.

Google Web Designer is an HTML5 web app and includes various tools to create, edit, and organize objects on a timeline. Apart from text and drawing tools, 3D authoring and building animations scene by scene, its abilities include previewing the project in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer, as well as publishing options.

It is recommended to use Windows 7 or 8 with an Intel Pentium 4 or AMD 64 CPU backed by 4GB of RAM and a screen resolution of 1920x1080. For Mac, OS X10.7 or later is recommended. Lower specifications are supported as far as RAM and screen resolution are concerned, but not less than 2GB and 1280x1024.
