Nokia's famous HERE Maps arrived in the Windows Store a few months ago, but today the application received an important update that's supposed to correct many of the bugs found in the original release.

According to official information provided by the developing team, the new version of HERE Maps comes with improved stability, accuracy, and maps download, so it's pretty clear that this is a recommended update for everyone who wants to view maps in the Modern UI.

Just like before, HERE Maps works on all Windows 8.1 versions, so you can install it on both desktop computers and tablets. Windows RT support is also being offered, which means that the app also works on Microsoft's very own Surface RT and Surface 2.

The feature lineup is virtually unchanged and includes options to download maps to your tablet and use them for free without an Internet connection, walking and driving directions in offline mode, live traffic information 3D mode, tools to share places and see photos, reviews, and contact information.

Overall, every single update that this app receives should come in handy to plenty of users out there, so download HERE Maps for Windows 8.1 right now to make sure that you are running the latest version with all released improvements.
