Halo: Spartan Assault is one of the games that got improved today, so in case you’ve already purchased the Windows 8.1 game, you better look in the store for a new version.

The new build that’s now being delivered to users comes with Operation Hydra, which comprises 5 new missions and 2 new cinematics.

At the same time, Microsoft focused a little bit more on Xbox 360 controller support, so it should now be easier to play the game with a controller, but also on fixing bugs that were found in the older builds.

“Halo: Spartan Assault brings the excitement of Halo combat to touch-based devices for the very first time. Battle your way through 30 action-packed missions against the Covenant as you explore the origin of the Spartan Ops program and Halo 4's Spartan Commander, Sarah Palmer,” the game description reads.

Of course, this is quite a necessary update for all users, so download Halo: Spartan Assault right now to see what’s new.
