Microsoft’s Surface tablet comes with a very innovative keyboard that is only 3 mm thin and because most people are pretty amazed with it, the company rolled out a video to show how it’s made.

The keyboard, which also serves as a case for the tablet, weighs only 200 grams and comes in multiple colors, such as white, cyan, magenta and red. The standard version is painted in black.

The Black Touch Cover however isn’t available for the 32 GB version that’s priced at $499 (€380), so instead you have to either buy a more expensive version or purchase the keyboard separately.

In case you can’t get used to this touch keyboard, Microsoft is also selling a so-called “type” cover that provides a feeling much closer to the one of a standard keyboard.
