Software developers are trying to recompile the game for Windows RT

The number of apps available on the Windows RT platform is getting significantly bigger, mostly thanks to the recently released jailbreak tool that allows users to run unsigned code on their tablets.

The super popular Quake 2 can now be played on a jailbroken Windows RT device, so the software developers behind the entire project are now working on recompiling Heroes of Might and Magic 3 for Microsoft’s tablet-oriented operating system.

An early build is already available right now, but the game is unplayable due to slow emulation speed. A smoother performance is, however, expected in the next versions.

As you can see, the jailbreak community is attracting new fans each day, so it will be very interesting to see Microsoft trying to deal with this problem in its future firmware updates.
