14 DAY TRIAL // The “Games” category continues to be the most popular section of the Windows Store, pretty much thanks to the many free titles available to users.
At this point, Hill Climb Racing is the number one free game in the store, followed by Despicable Me: Minion Rush, Jetpack Joyride, and Cut the Rope.
Each of these games has at least 10,000 ratings in the store, with the exception of Despicable Me which is still a new entry on Windows 8.1.
Jetpack Joyride, on the other hand, has topped the charts for many weeks on Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1, so it has no less than 26,333 ratings, while Cut the Rope, which continues to be extremely popular on all mobile platforms out there, has more than 17,100 votes.
All these games are available free of charge, but some come with a paid version that brings premium content for a small fee.
