LINE is undoubtedly a very popular communication tool, especially thanks to the fact that it’s available on a wide array of platforms, including Microsoft’s new Windows 8 operating system.

The app has just received an update for all Windows 8 builds, bringing several improvements and bug fixes that are supposed to help provide a better overall experience.

While the release notes do not offer too many details about the new release, LINE for Windows 8 still supports all versions of the operating system, including the x86 and the x64 desktop iterations. In addition, LINE can be used on ARM devices too, as it’s fully optimized for the touch.

Of course, the app is offered with a freeware license, but keep in mind that you first need to create an account on a smartphone before starting using the Windows 8 version.
