What's the first thing that you want to do after buying a new phone? Get yourself a case to make sure that your brand new smartphone doesn't get scratched.

And even though the phone accessory industry has grown so much lately, manufacturers have also invested a lot in protective technologies, so today's phones can effortlessly withstand severe shocks and hits thanks to new coatings.

Living proof is this Lumia 735 (reviewed here) which gets absolutely no scratches after several knife and key strokes, which by the way might really hurt your eyes at some point if you're the kind of person that takes care of the things he owns.

Lumia 735 comes with Gorilla Glass 3 to make sure that the screen doesn't get scratched easily and while this technology is indeed effective most of the time, it's not perfect. So you definitely shouldn't try this at home because in some conditions, the screen might scratch in a way that could never be fixed.

Most modern phones out there already come with such protective coating and word has it that a Gorilla Glass 4 can protect devices from deadly drops that until now broke our phones into pieces.

Obviously, most Windows Phone models will also come with such protective coating, so let's just hope that all future Microsoft phones will be at least as scratch resistant as the Lumia 735.
