The first stable release for Maxthon Cloud Browser (also available as a portable download) for this year has emerged recently, featuring several bug fixes that should increase the functionality of the application.

The new build is 4.2.1.1000, and first on the list of changes is a fix for the alert message informing the user that the browser could not connect to the accessed website. This was not a prevalent glitch and appeared only under certain circumstances.

The developer has also announced that incompatibility issues in certain web pages have been resolved and that the edit box for some emails should now display correctly. On the same note, the tab bar title should no longer be shown in an abnormal manner.

Tinkering with the font settings caused some anomalies with various web pages in the previous versions of Maxthon Cloud Browser (reviewed here).

Some of the users experienced a double download prompt with certain download links and this, too, should be repaired in the current revision.
