If you’re a Windows 8 user, you most likely know that Metrotube is one of the top YouTube apps available in the Store right now, so the parent company is updating it on a regular basis.

A new version that reached the Windows Store today comes with new video play keyboard shortcuts, so you can always turn to space, arrows and other hotkeys to control the clip you’re watching.

In addition, the new build packs video playback fixes and various tweaks, so it should provide an improved overall experience on both Windows 8 and Windows RT.

Lazyworm Applications, the company behind the project, revealed that future versions would include playlist support and options to pin authors to the Start screen. Dedicated settings to preload videos for offline content are also on the to-do list.
