Microsoft has just announced that its Bing translation service is now available for users of Word and PowerPoint 2013 via a downloadable application published in the Office store.

The company claims that no less than 80,000 developers have already implemented the Translation API, while the Bing Translator tool is being used by consumers in more than 187 countries worldwide.

“Expanding on top of built-in functionality within the products, it allows you to select any text and instantly translate it. Using this app, organizations can utilize within Office the custom translation systems they built with the Microsoft Translator Hub. Already, Office users translate over 1.3 million characters each hour using the built-in translation features,” the company said.

In case the translation app is not yet available in the Office store, you should check again in a few hours, as Microsoft is now releasing it to users across the world.
