Microsoft has just signed another important deal for Office 365, thus managing to bring more users to its cloud-based productivity platform.

The company announced that BNSF Railway, which is “one of the oldest and largest freight railroad networks in North American,” according to Microsoft, agreed to provide its 40,000 employees with unlimited access to Office 365.

“We chose Microsoft Office 365 as part of our Railroad 2020 vision for modernizing the productivity portfolio at BNSF,” said Jo-ann Olsovsky, chief information officer for the railway company.

“We looked at other offerings but everyone at BNSF and our customers preferred the familiar Office experience. With Office 365, we can implement our BYOD strategies and employees can share ideas, surface information, and work productively anywhere, on any device.”

While no financial terms have been disclosed, it’s pretty clear that Microsoft is proud of how well its Office 365 service is doing, as several large companies across the world have already agreed to move all their employees to the cloud-based service.
