Redmond is looking into ways to bring iOS devs on board

With Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft will allow iOS and Android developers to port their apps to its own platform using only small tweaks, but according to recent reports, few are actually planning to launch their software on Windows.

Microsoft, however, is looking into ways to entice more developers to code for Windows, so the company has recently purchased a number of domains that emphasize its efforts to bring iOS app makers on its own platform.

As BAV0 has written on Twitter today, here are the domains that Microsoft has recently registered (and whose names pretty much speak for themselves):

microsoftlovesappledevelopers.com microsoftlovesappledevelopers.net microsoftlovesappledevs.com microsoftlovesappledevs.net microsoftlovesiosdevs.com microsoftlovesiosdevs.net mslovesappledevs.com mslovesappledevs.net mslovesiosdevs.com mslovesiosdevs.net

The name of these domains could be an indication that Microsoft might be planning a new campaign that could launch soon with the very same purpose of bringing more iOS developers on its own platform and thus increase the number of apps that are available for Windows 10 phone users.

The lack of apps has always been considered one of the main issues for Windows Phone, but with Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft is addressing this issue by making it easier for iOS and Android devs to port their apps. Of course, it remains to be seen how many devs would actually do that, but with such campaigns, Redmond is doing its best to make its plan successful.
