Back in March when Microsoft officially confirmed the Blue project, it also mentioned that it was working on a larger “set of plans,” hinting that it was going to improve several products across its range.

Now that we all know that Blue is going to be released next month, it’s no surprise to see Microsoft confirming that Windows Embedded will also go Blue, even though no specifics have been provided.

“With Windows Blue, we are furthering our platform alignment with Windows to address a growing category of devices on the edge of enterprise networks and will be bringing the update to market later this year,” the company said in a blog post.

Windows Blue will officially be unveiled next month at the BUILD developer conference in preview form, while the stable version is very likely to hit the shelves approximately two months after that.
