14 DAY TRIAL // One more service is currently experiencing an outage, this time the People web app responsible for storing users’ contacts for Outlook.com and SkyDrive.
At this point, the service is unavailable and even though Microsoft has confirmed the issue, no other specifics have been provided. It appears that the problem was first reported on June 8, but the company hasn’t yet managed to release a fix.
“Customers may experience issues with the People web service. They might not be able to see or load contacts. This issue is affecting users on People.live.com, Outlook.com, Skydrive.com and WebIM. We are actively working to fix the problem,” it’s mentioned on the Live Service Status page.
I’m still waiting for more details on the issue, so an update for the article will be up when and if more information is available.
