It turns out that Microsoft itself agrees that Windows 8 is a flop

There’s no doubt that Windows 8 is not really the best-selling operating system on Earth, but Microsoft has refused to admit it publicly until now, especially because it already launched the 8.1 OS update.

On the other hand, a tweet posted by Microsoft watcher Paul Thurrott is revealing that company employees themselves are referring to Windows 8 as “the new Vista,” which is nothing more than living proof that the modern operating system has until now been rather disappointing.

This isn’t the first time when Windows 8 is described as the new Vista and both media and analysts across the world used the same designation last year as sales of the new operating system failed to excite.

Right now, Windows 8 and 8.1 are said to be powering around 10 percent of computers worldwide, which is clearly not enough for an operating system that was supposed to completely “change the way we work on our computers.”
