Microsoft has already confirmed that it plans to open new stores in several locations across the world, with China among the priorities for the Redmond-based company.

It appears that we’re very close to the big opening of a Chinese store, as Microsoft has posted job ads for operation directors that are supposed to work in Shanghai.

A report published by LiveSide.net claims that Shanghai is the first Chinese location to get a Microsoft store, but the company has much more ambitious plans when it comes to this part of the Asian market.

At the same time, Microsoft is considering several European countries for future stores, including the United Kingdom, according to unofficial reports.

The company is thus trying to get ready for the launch of Windows 8.1, the first Windows 8 overhaul that’s said to spawn a whole new wave of devices.
