Microsoft is again looking at the education sector to boost the adoption of Windows devices, so the company has recently signed another major deal to bring more tablets in schools.

This time, Redmond, Daly Computers and HP joined forces with Baltimore County Public Schools to ship no more, no less than 150,000 Windows devices over the next four years.

“Devices are just the first step to having true, significant impact in education, it also takes transformational learning methods. Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) is on an exciting journey to make this happen for students and we are thrilled to be part of it. BCPS has developed a thoughtful approach to all of the critical components to an effective 1:1 initiative,” Microsoft announced today.

At the same time, through Microsoft’s Student Advantage offer, schools in Baltimore can also get access to Office 365 ProPlus and provide staff and students with great productivity tools stored in the cloud at no additional cost.

Of course, Microsoft is very excited with this new deal and says that Windows devices do have what they need to help the education sector, while the Office 365 productivity suite can really help both students and teachers by providing excellent collaboration and communication tools.
