If you're like us and sometimes you're just too lazy to read news and instead want to listen to us, Microsoft has got you covered.

Today, the company has highlighted a Metro app called Share to Speech which does exactly that, offering support for both desktops and tablets, including Windows RT units such as the Surface RT.

Basically, the app uses the share option to read articles, text, or a selection from .docx, .pptx, .rtf, .odt, .odp, .txt files, with dedicated options allowing you to create MP3s and listen to them at a later time.

At the same time, the program also bundles sharing options to submit some specific articles with your friends on Facebook and Twitter, while the "Paste from Clipboard" tool enables you to use content from desktop applications to quickly get it read for you.

Just as expected since we're talking about such a powerful software solution, a full license is only available with a small fee of $4.99 (3.80 euros), but a trial version is however available for all those who wish to try it before buying.

Of course, the app is fully optimized for the touch, which makes it just perfect for tablets running Windows 8 or 8.1, so go ahead and download Share to Speech to see what it's up to.
