The company was supposed to block the update from reaching more Windows 7 machines

As you probably heard by now, Microsoft issued a buggy update on Patch Tuesday that pushed a number of Windows 7 machines in a continuous reboot loop that can't be stopped without removing the faulty update manually.

While the company has already started working on a fix, it said yesterday that it blocked the KB2823324 update from reaching more Windows 7 machines, in a move clearly supposed to limit the number of affected computers.

According to some posts on Microsoft's Answers forums, the update is still showing up on some computers and sometimes it gets installed automatically, so users have no other option that to remove it manually every time they reboot the system.

Microsoft, on the other hand, recommends users to block the update from getting installed, at least until a fix is released, so make sure you skip KB2823324 until you're on the safe side.
