Microsoft has just announced that message encryption is now available for Office 365 customers, so they can now send encrypted emails to people outside the company, no matter what service they are using.

Outlook.com, Gmail, Yahoo, Louts Notes, and all the other platforms are supported, Microsoft said, with Office 365 E3 and E4 customers to get Office 365 Message Encryption at no extra cost.

“Office 365 Message Encryption is the new version of Exchange Hosted Encryption (EHE). This version includes all of the capabilities of EHE plus new features, such as the ability to apply your company's branding to encrypted messages. Like EHE, Office 365 Message Encryption works with Office 365 mailboxes as well as with on-premises mailboxes that use Exchange Online Protection,” the company noted.

Microsoft explains that this is a very helpful addition to Office 365’s feature lineup, especially for users who need to send private details via emails, such as credit card statements, healthcare information, patient diagnosis or any other confidential information.
