Microsoft has recently released a new version of its Windows 8 medical and fitness tracking app called HealthVault, thus providing users with a few new options.

As the release notes reveal, the application now comes with tools to track and chart your child's height and blood glucose measurements, while also offering settings to customize the home screen and show only the health and fitness tiles you use.

At the same time, the new version of HealthVault gives you the option to pin health and fitness tiles to the Start screen and thus access specific details without even launching the app.

Of course, it continues to work flawlessly on all Windows 8 versions on the market, including the tablet-oriented Windows RT that's powering Microsoft's very own Surface RT device.
