As I reported to you last week, Microsoft has completed development of a new firmware update for the Surface Pro 2 and according to a new report, it’s now being delivered in waves to users across the world.

Citing various users who received a new firmware update, ZDNet is reporting that the new version seems to address all problems reported by users in December 2013 when the botched firmware first came out, including battery issues and overheating.

Microsoft decided to pull the update later the same month, while promising to work through the holiday for a new firmware version that would address the reported issues.

At this point, there’s no official statement regarding this release, but in case your Surface Pro 2 tablet is suffering from the December 2013 faulty update, make sure you check for new firmware versions these days.
