Microsoft has just rolled out a new version of the Windows Live Messenger instant messaging app that can be installed on every Windows edition currently supported by the company.

Wait, what? That’s right. The tech giant has decided to release a new round of improvements for the IM client it killed in early April.

As weird as it may sound, a new version of the app is now available for download, even though no details on the changes are available for the time being.

The build most likely brings performance and stability improvements for Windows workstations.

At the same time, users are still required to make the move to Skype, the company’s VoIP platform that’s expected to replace the utterly-popular Messenger.
