Just like the Surface RT, the Pro iteration of the tablet running the full version of the Windows 8 operating system received major improvements as part of this month’s Patch Tuesday update cycle.

One of the most important changes is the addition of Windows To Go, a new Windows 8 feature that would allow users to install the operating system on an USB drive and use it on a different computer.

This means that the Surface Pro can now run Windows To Go Windows 8 installations too, which is pretty important for those hoping to get enhanced mobility.

As far as bug fixes go, the update is expected to repair the Wi-Fi connectivity bug that blocked some users from accessing the Internet using a wireless connection. According to reports, the Surface Pro experienced limited or no Wi-Fi connectivity due to what seemed to be a software issue.

Last but not least, Microsoft delivered a dedicated fix to improve onscreen keyboard detection synchronization when going in and out of sleep, as plenty of users have complained that the Surface Pro fails to resume after going into sleep mode.
