Microsoft will debut the Surface tablet later this month and analysts expect it to sell in high volumes starting with January 2013.

ITProProtal writes citing Digitimes data that Microsoft is very likely to increase its market share in the tablet market to around 8 percent by 2015 (which means that it won’t be able to challenge market leader Apple), while shipments are expected to grow to around 75 million in the next three years.

Microsoft remains tight-lipped in the meantime and prepares the big launch of the tablet that will take place on October 25 in New York.

A new report however is suggesting that Microsoft could sell the Surface tablet for around $350 / €270 but, once again, the Redmondians prefer to keep everything under wraps until the October 25 launch.
