Even though we’re yet to see Microsoft’s “reinvented” anti-Google campaign the company was talking about a few weeks ago, some high-profile Redmond executives continue to poke fun at the Mountain View-based search giant with every single occasion.

Frank X. Shaw, corporate vice president of Corporate Communications at Microsoft, took another shot at Google in the same blog post used to confirm the Blue project.

Shaw vaguely mocked Google’s decision to retire Reader, a very popular RSS reader that will go dark on July 1, after only eight years on the market.

“See, spring isn’t just for cleaning/whacking away at things. It’s also a time to plant and get ready for summer. So… get ready!” he said.

Microsoft is reportedly planning to launch the Blue update this summer, with sources familiar to the matter revealing that the stable version of the operating system could surface sometime in August.
