The company doesn’t want to comment on the recently found activation method

As I’ve reported to you not a long time ago, a KMS activation system found recently allows virtually anyone with an Internet connection to activate any pirated copy of Windows 8.1 using just a few simple commands.

While it’s pretty clear that Microsoft can’t be happy with such news, the company has refused to comment on this, saying that it has nothing to share on the subject.

Of course, this decision is not at all surprising, as piracy has always been a problem for Microsoft, but I’m pretty sure that Redmond is already looking into the matter and trying to find a way to block the activation methods.

Until now, several custom hosts used for KMS activation have been taken down, but it’s not clear if this happened at Microsoft’s request or not. Still, thousands of consumers have used this method to activate their copies of Windows 8.1, so Microsoft really needs to act fast in this case.
