Users of cloud-based storage service SkyDrive, soon to be renamed to OneDrive, will get 20 GB of more free storage space in their accounts as part of a new campaign launched by Microsoft today.

Neowin is reporting that the Redmond-based tech giant is now sending emails to select users, who are called “valued members” of the SkyDrive community, to let them know that an additional of 20 GB of free storage space is added to their accounts for one year.

All SkyDrive users are already getting 7 GB of free storage space, so this new promo clearly comes in handy to everyone.

Microsoft will soon rename SkyDrive to OneDrive following a trademark dispute in the United Kingdom, so the company has already started the necessary adjustments to make sure that the transition takes place as smooth as possible.
